Trailmark is an outdoor adventure travel and community service company offering trips for 11-17 year olds in New England, the Northern Rockies and Southwest Colorado. Our 15-21 day adventure programs include ropes course activities, rock climbing, day hiking, sailing, mountain biking, sea kayaking, backpacking, horsepacking and whitewater rafting. We sponsor 15-Day Community Service trips in Maine that are involved in construction and farming projects. The groups, comprised of 12-16 campers and 3 leaders, travel by van and camp each evening. Leaders are responsible for following an established itinerary, juggling logistics, group dynamics and safety, and insuring the emotional and physical well being of participants.  

NY, MA, ME, NH, CO, WY, UT

Leaders must be 21 years of age by summer, have a current drivers license, clean driving record and have documentable work experience with teenagers. First Aid and CPR are minimum certifications that are required. WFA, WFR, EMT are preferred. Life Guard certification considered a plus. Trailmark leaders should also possess strong interpersonal skills. These include the ability to teach basic concepts to campers, to remain patient, to set realistic goals, to give positive feedback and to address any negative behavior that may arise. Leaders must also stay sensitive to differences and demonstrate a compassion for individual limits, both physical and emotional.
