Each summer Longacre Expeditions
trip leaders and small groups of
teenagers bicycle, hike, rock
climb, kayak, mountaineer, white
water raft, snowboard, snorkel,
scuba dive, surf, sail, and
travel across miles of the most
beautiful territory in the
world. Longacre offers many
opportunities for the young
outdoor enthusiast in ADVENTURE,
CHALLENGE, and DISCOVERY class
trips: ADVENTURE expeditions
involve kids in moderately
challenging pursuits; CHALLENGE
expeditions engage the student
in activities that hone their
outdoor skills and quench their
appetite for physical exertion;
and on our DISCOVERY programs,
participants undertake a journey
to expand their awareness and
understanding of other cultures
and the world around them, often
through foreign travel and
language immersion. These trips
offer unforgettable experiences
to mentor young teenagers and
truly affect their lives. Our
trips focus on building
community, outdoor skills,
cooperation, independence,
responsibility, language
immersion, digital photography,
service, and fun. |
