| Job Description | Camp Voyageur is a small private camp for boys in northeastern Minnesota and on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). We lead wilderness trips canoeing, hiking and sea kayaking. Typical group size is 1 counselor/trip leader to 4 campers. In-camp our counselors lead in-camp programs of land and water sports. Counselors live with campers--usually 2 counselors per cabin with 6-8 campers. | |

| Qualifications | At least 18 years old with a year of college. Camp Voyageur conducts a staff training for 2 weeks before campers arrive. During that time new staff take a wildernes trip and learn how to trips and in-camp activities. Counselors can obtain certification in Wilderness First Aid during staff training. Counselor need to come to camp with lifeguard training and cpr certificates. | |
